Ministries

Nursery

" Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."
~ Psalm 127:3

Our church provides clean, comfortable nursery care for those infants and toddlers who just might not make it through the service. The nursery is open every service for newborns up through three years old.

Children's Ministry

"Suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." ~ Matt 19:14

Children’s ministries are provided for children above nursery age on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. While some entertaining things take place in these particular programs, our primary emphasis is the teaching of the Bible in an age appropriate fashion. During the Sunday evening service children remain in the auditorium in an effort to have them become accustomed to the service format and the preaching of the Pastor.

Kids 4 Christ

This is a special church service on Sunday morning geared specifically for kids from four years old through sixth grade. Our junior church teaches the Bible in fun and exciting ways with games, songs, and stories!

King’s Kids Club

This is an exciting, weekly meeting for kids 4 years old through 6th grade. It takes place Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm while adults are having their midweek service in the main auditorium. Children work through Scripture memory goals earning awards and badges to display. They are taught valuable lessons from God’s Word and participate in rousing songs and game times.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer, children from kindergarten through the 6th grade are invited to be a part of our one-week long Vacation Bible School that meets for 2 hours each evening, Monday through Saturday. The week is filled with fun, engaging outdoor games, prizes, contests, craft times, puppet shows, singing, Scripture memory, and challenges from God’s Word, finishing “Family

Day” on Saturday with lunch for all and bouncy house activities.

Regular Group Activities

Throughout the year and every month each summer, group activities are scheduled for our children, kindergarten through 6th grade. Whether it be an outdoor adventure or and indoor learning experience, kids will LOVE to be a part of these exciting field trips! See our events calendar for upcoming activities!

Students & Youth

"Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers."
~ 1 Tim 4:12

The First Baptist student ministry is designed to come alongside parents and help their middle school and high school students grow their faith, their character, and their relationships. Our desire is to create an atmosphere that is Christ-focused where they can belong. We encourage our youth to be involved in everything we do from participating in activities to inviting their friends and serving others.

Teen Afterglows

This event takes place the last Sunday evening of each month where a meal and activity is held for the church teens after the regular evening service. Youth ages 7th through 12th grade are invited to attend the Sunday Services and then be a part of indoor/outdoor games, food, fun and friendship!

Regular Group Activities

Once each month throughout the school year and several times each month during the summer, group activities are scheduled for our young people in 7th through 12th grades. These activities have included water sports, theme parks, professional ball games, laser tag, horseback riding, fishing trips and more! See our events calendar for upcoming activities.

Conferences and Camps

Opportunities are presented each year for teens in 7th through 12th grades to attend summer and winter church camps and youth conferences around the state. These gatherings are filled with potential to develop Biblical thinking and positive friendships in the lives of our youth. Challenging preaching and all manner of exciting games and competitions are geared toward seeing young people make vital spiritual decisions and develop personal character.

Adult Ministries

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
~ Matt 18:20

Men’s Bible Study and Prayer Breakfast
This ministry meets on the second and fourth Saturday mornings of each month as an opportunity for the men of our church and community to encourage, exhort, and pray for one another. “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17 is what this ministry is all about.

TLC Ministry
Touching Ladies for Christ is a ministry to the ladies of FBCL and our area. The purpose of our bimonthly meetings is to support women in their personal relationship with God so that through Biblical support, spiritual friendships, and service opportunities of the church, you too can help reach other ladies for Christ.

Visitation & Outreach

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." ~ Mark 16:15

The great responsibility of our local church is the Great Commission, taking the Gospel message to the lost in our community and world-wide. We believe this responsibility is given to every Christian to be practiced on a personal level and on a weekly basis. Every ministry of First Baptist Church at its core has the priority of reaching the lost.

Van Transportation Ministry

"As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.~ 1 Peter 4:10

Need a ride to church? The FBC church van provides a fun and safe ride to all of our church services for both children and adults. FBC actively seeks to bring people to church from our immediate area. Please contact the church office for more information or to schedule a pickup.

Music Ministry

"O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.~ Psalms 95:1

All music programs of the First Baptist Church are of a traditional nature. Our God-honoring music is a key part to every church service preparing hearts to receive the preaching of the Word of God. We welcome any member with musical ability, whether vocal or instrumental, to join us and be a blessing.

World Missions

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
~ Matthew 28:19

We believe that it is the role of the local church to send and support missionaries around the globe.
